One of the simplest things you can do to save energy is to keep clean air filters on your home HVAC system.
Monique O’Grady of the Alliance to Save Energy says the filters are available in reusable models, or disposable ones, which are affordable. Cleaning or changing the filters at least once a month during the heavy heating and cooling season will keep your system running more efficiently, making it less expensive to operate and preventing breakdowns that can be expensive to fix.
